TEAM TRADING

After going through the first part of training, traders can interview to join one of the many teams in the firm. Team trading allows you to interact with other traders and exchange ideas. Moreover, each team has a senior trader as the leader. This senior trader has a proven track record of profitable trading. 

The teams focus on coming up with new trading strategies and ideas. They also get a chance to go through and learn their senior trader’s strategy which can help them improve trading performance. 

MENTORING SESSIONS

• SMB AM Meeting with Spencer. Here, one of the founders spends time with the traders, telling them which stocks to trade for the day. 
• SMB AM Meeting with our Floor Manager. Here, new traders work with a floor manager to pick stocks to trade and decide on the day’s trading plan.
• Trader Development. After the first trading session in a day, new traders convene to discuss the best trades and prepare for the next session.
• Reading the Tape. Here, traders learn to read tapes.
• These Guys Are Good. This is a meeting between senior and new traders at the close of the day. Senior traders go through their trades for the day, allowing the new traders to learn.

SMB is the top number one expert prop firm in education and trainers, coaches, and mentors if you want to think and trade like a professional trader and make a lifelong commitment to your art. I was somewhat surprised to find them here and with no reviews, I have left a Google review too as they have hundreds of 5-star reviews there. I think they prefer Google reviews, but as they are here I don’t see why I should not share my life-changing experience about this incredible firm and its amazing people. I found SMB through reading trading books and for anyone who wants to work at a prop firm or trade their own funds, you must read One Good Trade and The Playbook by Mike Bellafiore.

CONCLUSION

SMB Capital is great for traders looking to improve their trading skills and develop around a team of other traders. However, the lack of trading information and few desk trading opportunities let the firm down.
